Piano Schools
Together with piano schools from the region, we regularly organize concerts and give talents a stage. Piano schools we cooperate with have the opportunity to benefit from exclusive advantages, such as guided tours, practice rooms, and use of concert spaces.
Our Brand since 1888
Almost 140 years ago, Albert and Franz Schulz already produced their first own pianos under the Gebr. Schulz brand in Mainz. And to this day, we still produce our own instruments, partly in Mainz, but mostly in Wiesbaden. Thanks to our pre-production in Chengdu, we can also offer entry-level models with German final assembly at attractive prices. Feel free to ask us—we know for every instrument where each component was manufactured and installed, often even by which of our employees. Our brand is distributed exclusively by us in China, the USA, and Germany with 6 different models.
Our Story
The history of Piano-Schulz begins in 1859 and reflects a rich tradition of piano craftsmanship.

Heinrich Schulz becomes partner of the Steinweg company in Brunswick.

Theodor Steinweg sells his factory in Brunswick to Messrs. Grotrian, Helfferich and Heinrich Schulz, emigrates to America and concentrates on Steinway & Sons. The well-known instruments from Brunswick are now called Grotrian, Helfferich, Schulz, Th. Steinweg Nachf.

Albert and Franz Schulz founded the company Gebr. Schulz in Mainz.

Our company is listed in the renowned world directory of the musical instrument industry.

Albert's son Günter Schulz takes over the business together with his wife Johanna. Gebr. Schulz gains supra-regional importance.

The first shop is opened at Zietenring 7 in Wiesbaden. The piano workshop is located across the street.

Herward Schulz begins his training in the family business. Together with his wife Erika, they establish first contacts with international companies and expand the model range.

Move to the newly acquired building Mühlgasse 11-13. Finally, grand pianos and pianos can be presented in a large selection across three floors.

Piano master craftsman Christoph and his wife Sabine Schulz run the business in the 5th generation. Production and workshop are optimized, international business is expanded and product improvements are applied for patents.

At the NAMM Show and Music China, we present our newly developed grand piano, the G70. The prototype was already completed at the end of 2021 and attracts great attention at the trade fairs with its natural wood finish. Numerous musicians test it live and are overwhelmed by the performance of this medium-sized grand piano.

Since 2024, Jakob Schulz and his wife Sarah have been shaping the business as the 6th generation, focusing on partnerships, events and brand development.

Patent application - 3 generations of Piano-Schulz in Wiesbaden, learning from each other and continuing to write history.
Preserving the Proven and Moving the New
"Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire."
Whoever wants to pass on a flame must ensure that it burns. He needs enthusiasm and passion for what he does. He needs exactly that sparkle in his eyes, like Christoph Schulz has when you ask him what he loves about his work.
To this day, the connection between quality, care and craftsmanship can be felt in all rooms of Piano-Schulz, the high standards of the art of piano building have remained unchanged for five generations.

The name Piano-Schulz stands for competent, empathetic advice as well as piano craftsmanship and entrepreneurship.
